LAX terminal subcontractors struggling financially

“Four small companies are struggling to stay afloat financially while working on the $1.5 billion expansion of LAX’s Tom Bradley International Terminal, an airport official said Monday.

It takes an average of 22 days for Los Angeles International Airport to process payments, but the schedule has hurt at least four of the 300 subcontractors hired by Walsh Austin Joint Venture to work on the project, said Roger Johnson, deputy executive director for airport development.”
